Best Paper Awards


The Organizing Committee of the 7th Portuguese Conference on Automatic Control is proud to announce that the "Best industrial paper" and the "Best APCA student paper" awards were attributed to the following papers.

Regulamentation


All papers presented at the conference, either in Oral or Poster Sessions, will be eligible for these awards. Judging shall be on the bases of general quality, originality, subject matter, and timeliness. The awarded paper(s) will be proposed for publication in a special issue of the International Journal of Systems Science.

Best Industrial Paper Award

The Best Industrial Paper Award honors the author(s) of the paper, selected by a panel, that describe the best application of automatic control in the industry. The goal of this award is to recognize the strong impact and the clear benefits of using automatic control in industrial applications. The prize will be composed of 1000 € and author certificates. In the case of multiple co-authors, the money prize will be divided equally among all authors. The prize and the certificates will be presented to the awarded author(s) during the Closing Ceremony of the conference. The Best Industrial Paper Award is jointly supported by the Portuguese Association of Automatic Control (APCA) and Banco Espí­rito Santo (BES).

BEST APCA STUDENT PAPER AWARD

The Best APCA Student Paper Award honors the author(s) of the best paper, selected by a panel, among the papers whose first author and presenter is a student and member of APCA – The Portuguese Association of Automatic Control. The goal of this award is to promote amongst students the research interest for the field of automatic control. The prize will be composed of 500 € and author certificates. In the case of multiple co-authors, the money prize will be divided equally among all authors. The prize and the certificates will be presented to the awarded author(s) during the Closing Ceremony of the conference. The Best Student Paper Award is supported by the Portuguese Association of Automatic Control (APCA).
