Instructions for Presenters and Chairs
Instructions for Paper Presenters
We kindly request that you come to the room 10 minutes before the session starts to introduce
yourself to the respective session chair and to ensure that there are no problems of
compatibility between the LCD projector and the PC that you will use in your presentation.
A LCD PC projector will be available in each room, together with a laser pointer.
A PC with CD-ROM reader and USB interface will also be available in case a speaker
does not bring his (her) own computer.
All presentations are 15 minutes long followed by a period of 5 minutes for question/answer
and computer/presentation swapping. Please make sure that your presentation starts and
finishes on time. The schedule is very tight and the session chairs will be asked to closely follow it.
Should you have any special requirements, please do not hesitate to contact the Conference
secretariat (before September 11) or the Registration Desk during the Conference.
Thank you for your participation.
Instructions for Poster Presenters
We kindly request that you prepare the posters and mount them during the coffee break (Tuesday, 12th, from 16:00-16:30)
on the posters board provided by the conference organization and installed on the Hall 02 of the Congress Center.
You should remain close to your poster during the entire session in order to answer questions from the attendees. Posters
must be removed immediately after the session ends.
The poster boards support poster size DIN A0 portrait (i.e.: high = 1189 mm and wide 841 mm).
There are no specific constraints in the layout of the poster other than that the
title and the authors names should be prominently displayed and the character size of
lettering should be large enough to allow reading from a distance of 1 meter. Poster
sessions will not have tables and power outlets.
Thank you for your participation.
Instructions for Chairs
We kindly request that you come to the room 10 minutes in advance in order to welcome
the speakers and to encourage them to check, with the assistance of the technical
staff of CONTROLO’2006, that there are no problems of compatibility between the LCD
projector and the PCs that will be used in the presentations.
A LCD PC projector will be available in each room, together with a laser pointer.
A PC with CD-ROM reader and USB interface will also be provided in case a speaker does
not bring his (her) own computer.
All presentations are 15 minutes long followed by a period of 5 minutes for question/answer
and computer/presentation swapping. A board with the "5 minutes left" sentence on one side
and "time is over" on the opposite side will be at your disposal so that speakers may
control the evolution of their presentations. The schedule is very tight, please make
sure that each presentation starts and finishes on time.
In the event of a "no-show," the chair must call a session break until the next
presentation starts; this will leave the general schedule for the session unchanged
and will allow attendees to switch between sessions in an orderly manner.
Thank you very much for your willingness to chair the session.
